U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) said on October 26, 2026 that members of the Sileiri Doe class can ask the agency to reopen or reconsider an adverse decision on an immigration benefit request without paying a fee, following a September 28, 2026 order from the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
- Who qualifies: people who scheduled entry through the CBP One app, were paroled into the United States between May 16, 2023 and January 19, 2025, had parole ended by email in April 2025, and live in the United States.
- Decisions covered: USCIS decisions from April 1, 2025 to April 21, 2026, where the member believes the April 2025 termination caused the outcome. Parole-based employment authorization is excluded.
- No deadline: no deadline applies to a request under the court order.
- What a request must show: how the termination affected eligibility. USCIS approves only if the person shows eligibility without the April 2025 termination.
Weighing a U.S. green card route?
The process is in effect. It does not affect the new parole termination notices of April 21, 2026. Class members in removal proceedings must first end those proceedings before asking USCIS to reopen an asylum or adjustment of status case, with limited exceptions.

What to watch
Analysis: The court order sets no deadline. USCIS reviews each request on its own facts.
